Appointment Cancellations / Changes Policy

Because we do set aside the time you have scheduled specifically for YOU, and may have turned away other clients, we do have a 24-hour cancellation/change policy that requires a minimum of 24 hour’s notice if you need to cancel or change an appointment. Please notify the spa directly 24 hours before your scheduled appointment to avoid being charged the full amount. 

Please be aware that this policy DOES apply if you are late or miss an appointment with us because of being held up at a medical appointment or having additional medical appointments/tests scheduled. We strongly encourage you to schedule appointments with us when you are certain you are going to be able to keep the appointment time.   We want you to be able to enjoy your experience at our spa!  ​

If you opt out of email and text reminders you are are still subject to the full charge for any missed appointment, or any change or cancellation within 24 hours of your appointment time.

Arrive Early

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment in order to complete paperwork and relax before services.  Should you arrive late, your service(s) will be modified and end at the originally scheduled time.

​Session Lengths / Recommendations

Sessions are available in a variety of lengths depending on your needs. A 30 or 45 minute session is great for targeting a specific area. A 60 minute session is the minimum amount of time required for a full body massage We do recommend a 75 minute or 90 minute session for a full body session to allow the therapist to spend extra time on the very tense muscle areas.  (During the pandemic we do shorten our sessions by 5 minutes to allow for extra cleaning).  

Health Form

If you have a bodywork session or facial scheduled you will be asked to complete a questionnaire on your first visit.  A link to fill out the health form will be in your welcome email.  Please note any medical conditions on this form. Your service provider will review this form with you, prior to your service, to determine appropriate service modifications.  Please let us know when booking your services if you have significant medical conditions, that would be important for us to be aware of.  If you have any medical concerns about receiving any of our services, please check with your physician prior to booking your service.

​AGE RESTRICTIONS

If a guest is under the age of 16, we require Parental Consent prior to any services. Children under the age of 16 may choose to have a parent or guardian in the massage room with them.

​Linen Options

We dress our tables in high quality polar fleece. These soft, thick linens are hypoallergenic in nature, provide moisture-wicking capabilities and help maintain a comfortable body temperature during your session while providing the most modest draping for your privacy. However, microfiber sheets are available upon request. If you would like microfiber sheets, please let us know at the time of scheduling so your service provider can prepare your room prior to your arrival.

​Pregnancy

Please inform the front desk when making your reservations and your service providers the day of your services.  if you are pregnant – and which week of pregnancy you are in – so we can customize your service for you and your baby.  There is no additional fee to receive a Prenatal Massage

​Disrobing

Please disrobe to your comfort level. Traditionally, most spa services are performed wearing no clothing, however, we are happy to accommodate any level of disrobing so that our clients feel safe and comfortable.  All of our service providers are highly trained professionals who will cover and drape you to ensure your privacy.

​What to Wear

You may undress to your comfort level, leaving on any clothing you wish.  If you prefer to remain clothed during your massage, please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing.  We strongly encourage you to leave all jewelry and personal belongings at home.

​Electronic Devices

We request all cell phones be turned off while in the spa.

​Gratuities

Gratuities are not included in the service fee.  If you have a wonderful experience, feel free to leave gratuities for your service providers.  If you are not sure how much to tip, our front desk staff will be happy to provide guidance on gratuity standards.

Payment for the service is required and will be charged the night prior to your service to the credit card on file. If you would like to pay another way when you come in we would be happy to issue a refund and take a different form of payment!

Despite some claims to the contrary, no.  You may lose water weight the day of the wrap, but there is no permanent weight loss.

There is no proof that body wraps and scrubs draw out toxins.  As far as we know, the detoxifying ingredients in body wraps are not able to penetrate beyond your skin, nor draw out toxins from your other organs. However, body wraps and scrubs are very beneficial for your body’s largest organ – the skin. Please read the descriptions for our services to discover the benefits.

All too often we overlook the benefit of simple, gentle, rhythmic, nurturing touch.

For clients who are frail, post surgery, or after a fall or injury, this type of massage may be the just what the doctor ordered.

This technique is simple – but not easy to learn - and it takes much concentration and focus to do it well.
